At MercerTrigiani, we believe it is vital for anyone involved with common interest community associations in Virginia to have ready access to governing statutes. The Virginia General Assembly adopts legislation affecting community associations every year, making it difficult to keep up with the changes. That is why we produce our RedBook—available free of charge through our website—each year. This valuable tool, a handbook containing Virginia common interest community laws, is a must for developers, boards of directors, property managers, and residents of communities governed by associations.
What You’ll Find in the RedBook
Virginia has two sets of laws that govern how community associations operate. Our RedBook includes current versions of the Virginia Condominium Act and Virginia Property Owners' Association Act as well as other important statutes affecting association governance. And, to assist with navigating the recodification of Title 55 which took place in 2019, the RedBook also includes a Recodification Chart.
